MINEOLA – Funeral services for Tommie Elizabeth Spann, 17, of Mineola, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Sand Springs Baptist Church, Mineola, with Bro. Nick Kerry officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery, Golden.
Tommie passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, in Golden.
She was born March 27, 2002, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to John Brody and Amanda Lola Burnett Spann. Tommie was a sophomore at Alba-Golden High School and was involved in FFA, softball, basketball, and cross-country. She was a member of numerous clubs including the Student Council.
Survivors include her parents, Brody and Amanda Spann of Mineola; brothers, Bryce Spann of Mineola and Caleb Spann of Mineola; grandparents, Roger and wife Stephana Spann of Arlington, Trina Spann of North Richland Hills, Richard and wife Tina Burnett of Rosepine, Louisiana, Inita Maricle of Leesville, Louisiana; great grandmother, Peggy Spann of Mineola; aunts and uncles, Jared Maricle of Hineston, Louisiana, Amber and husband Jason Whitaker of Rosepine, Louisiana, Coogan Spann of Mineola, Donovan and wife Rebekah Spann of Mineola, and Laeil and husband Martin Pepin of Rusk.
Tommie was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Delmar Spann; great grandparents, Alfred and Tommie Burnett James; and great-grandparents, Hubert and Eddie (T.D.) Maricle.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Lennon, Jared Maricle, Jason Whitaker, Coogan Spann, Donovan Spann, Cully Mizer, Chris Norris, and Eric Thorn.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday, May 27, 2019, at the funeral home.
