Sam John  Sheen Jr.
Graveside services for Mr. John Sheen, 78, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018, at Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Sheen passed away April 16, 2018, in Tyler. He was born June 20, 1939, in San Angelo to Sam & Annie Lou Alexander Sheen. He served in the US Army. John owned several businesses including Peddler Furniture and SIMCO where he built subdivisions. He had lived in San Angelo for 73 years before moving to Grand Saline 5 years ago. He was also an ordained minister and was a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Sheen.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Sheila Sheen of Grand Saline; two daughters, Jenifer Tripp and husband Tim of Keller and Julie Saeger of Flower Mound; son, Jarrod Sheen of Grand Saline; step-children, Christopher Chambless and wife Valarie of Canton, David Chambless of Paris, and Matthew Chambless and wife Heather of Hugo, OK; grandchildren, Colby Whitlow and wife Amanda of Coppell, Madeline Whitlow of Dallas, Mason Blake of Flower Mount, Jonathan Saeger of Southlake, and Abbey Saeger of Southlake; great-granddaughter, Chloe Whitlow of Coppell; other grandchildren are Katelynn Chambless of Canton, Jarod Cook of Canton, Reece Hopkins of Canton, Ella, Braxton and Carter Chambless of Canton, Eli Chambless of Hugo, OK and Easton Chambless of Hugo, OK; another daughter, Brittany Riley of San Angelo; and grandbabies, Kaiden Smith, Jayde Sheen, Faith Sheehan and Dalton Riley, all of San Angelo.
