ALBA – Memorial services for Edward “Stack” Lewers, 61, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Alba, under the direction of the family, with Pastor Byron George officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Mr. Lewers passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, in Tyler.
He was born Tuesday, September 25, 1956, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Louis and Irene Campbell Lewers. He lived all of his life in Alba, where he was a drywall contractor. He married the love of his life, Terry Byars, on October 4, 1975. Their lifelong love produced three children and eleven grandchildren. Stack was loved by many and was known far and wide for his crazy spirit and fearless adventures. He was the community handyman and was ready to help anyone in need. Stack’s biggest fans were his eleven grandchildren, who knew him as Papa.

Survivors include his mother, Irene Lewers of Alba; daughters, Stacey and husband Jason Campbell of Alba and Charly Lewers and fiancé JerryLynn Foust of Alba; son, David and wife April Lewers of Alba; sisters, Glenda and husband Phil Ross of Sulphur Springs, Deborah Smith of Alba, and Martha and husband Vernon Henley of Talco; girlfriend, Sherry Crutchfield of Alba; grandchildren, Blane, Bryan, Jasey, Kase, Kole, Landry, Joecey, Justin, Molly, Jagger, and Matty; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Stack was preceded in death by his father, Louis Lewers and wife Terry Lewers.

Memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas, Tyler.
