Services for Mr. Robert "Bob" Hogue, Sr., 70, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home with Dr. Bruce Smilie officiating.
Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Hogue passed away May 21, 2017, at his home in Grand Saline. He was born March 23, 1947, in Wood County to Robert Edward & Bernice Hazelwood Hogue. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He spent most of his life in Mesquite where he was a member of Casa View Baptist Church and worked as a technician for Lucent Technology. He moved to Grand Saline 25 years ago where he was a member of VFW Post 6635. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wilton Hogue and Pete Hogue; sister, Brenda Rhea; and granddaughter, Casandra May.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Barbara Hogue of Grand Saline; son, Robert Hogue Jr. and wife Evelyn of Quinlan; daughter, Sherri May and husband Steven of Grand Saline; sister, Wanda Heddin of Edgewood; six grandchildren, Brittanie Martin, Alexa Hogue, Misty Wallen, Talyn May, Cheyanne Williams and MacKenzie May; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Williams, Robert Whaley, Bobby Wallen, Blake Martin, Aaron Dehtan and Tim Collier.
Honorary pallbearer is Zachary Martin.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
