Luis Gaytan


ALBA – Mass of Christian Burial for Luis Gaytan, 65, of Alba, are scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Emory, with Father Victor Hernandez officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Gaytan passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at his residence in Alba.
He was born Sunday, November 18, 1951, in Mexico, to the late Jose Mercedes and Virginia Martinez Gaytan. Luis was a business man and carpentry was his passion.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Maria Catalina Gaytan; son, Luis Gaytan of Seagoville; daughters, Catalina Gaytan of Terrell, Mercedes Gaytan Nava of Balch Springs, and Juanita Gaytan DeLaGarza and husband Josue of Sachse; nine brothers and sisters; six grandchildren, Kathryn Grace, Nathan, Sabrina, Sophie Jane, Stephan, and Shaun Lewis; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents and brother, Jose Carmen Gaytan.
Pallbearers will be Luis Gaytan, Jose DeLaLuz Gaytan, Hector Gaytan, Josue DeLaGarza, Roberto Santoyo, and Lorenzo Santoyo.
Rosary will be Friday at 6:30 p.m.at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
