Services for Mr. Billy Gene Alexander, Sr., 75, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Jason Brown officiating.
Interment will be in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander passed away April 16, 2016, at his home in Edgewood. He was born September 25, 1940, in Van Zandt County to Snode Erwin & Hazel Ann Gilbert Alexander. He had spent the last 25 years in Grand Saline and Edgewood. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy Alexander; two brothers, Russell Alexander and J.L. Alexander; two sisters, Mary Louise Alexander and Betty Lou Alexander; one granddaughter, Kristy Cobb; and three sons-in-law.
Survivors include his three sons, Charles Edward Scott, Jr. of Edgewood, Billy Alexander, Jr. of Edgewood and Joey Wayne Alexander of Fruitvale; five daughters, Peggy Ownby of Kodak, TN, Francis Hawkins of Kodak, TN, Kandy Rodriquez of Canton, Dana Sue Alexander of Kaufman and Donna Alexander of Arkansas; three brothers, Doyal Wayne Alexander of Lake Tawakoni, Carroll Alexander of Grand Saline and Gerald Alexander of Grand Saline; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Randy Mejia, Jonathon Mejia, Stephen Rodriquez, Mathew Alexander, Frank Marrs and Timothy Nix.
Honorary pallbearers will be Derame "JJ" Clanton; Carroll Alexander, Gerald Alexander and Doyal Wayne Alexander.
The family will receive friends 1 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
