Obituary for Margie Lois Taylor (Davis)

ALBA – Services for Margie Lois Taylor, 83, of Mabank, formerly of Alba, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Payne Springs Baptist Church of Payne Springs, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Danny Dennie officiating.
Burial will be in Colony Cemetery, Alba, at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Taylor passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015, in a Canton nursing home.
She was born October 26, 1932, in Alba, to the late James Carlton and Eva Ree Hill Davis. She grew up and went to school in Alba, then married Ernest Herbert Taylor in Canton on August 10, 1948. She had lived the last 41 years in Mabank. She worked as a bookkeeper and was very active in her church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and as an organist.
Survivors include her sons, James Ernest Taylor and wife Lisa of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mark Randall Taylor and fiancée Lisa Roberts of Eustace; daughters, Ethyl Dianne Bertling and husband Richard of Phoenix, Arizona, and Debra Kay Harlow and husband Edward of Edgewood; brother Delbert Ray Byford and wife Pat Sharp of Gun Barrel City; 10 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years; an infant son, Gregory Keith Taylor; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Adams and Eva Ruth Drake.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m.
