Obituary for Judd Isaac Lyles

ALBA – A memorial service for Judd Isaac Lyles, 13, of Alba, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Sand Springs Baptist Church, Mineola, with Bro. Nick Kerry and Bro. Jim Parker officiating.
Judd passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015, in a Quitman hospital.
Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest No. 1 Cemetery, Emory, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home of Alba.
He was born Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at his home in Alba, to Preston Scott and Yolanda Gonzalez Lyles. He lived all of his life on the family farm in Rains County. He loved being a part of the choir and the Youth Group at Sand Springs Baptist Church where he was a member, and he enjoyed being involved with the Tuesday Church. He was proud to be homeschooled. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour at the age of five.
Survivors include his parents Scott and Yolanda Lyles of Alba; 5 brothers, Jared Lyles and wife Kristen of Alba; Grant Lyles and wife Breael of Tyler; Will Lyles, Joel Lyles, and Jay Lyles all of Alba; 4 sisters, Julie Mitchell and husband David of Alba, Jill Schulz and husband Craig of Mineola, Jessica Bohannan and husband Michael of Golden, and Cathleen Lyles of Alba; grandmothers, Betty Lyles of Alba and Julia Gonzalez of Guatemala; 9 nieces and nephews, Tom, Tim, Jessie Marie, Maryann, Bryan, Stella, Adelaide, Joselyn, and Kallen; and Alex, Rhonda, Jacob, Nick, Adrian, Emily, Ryan, and Elena Gonzalez; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Preston Lyles and Oscar Gonzalez, and he can now play with babies William and Lynn in Heaven.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of his A-G Panthers Baseball team, Chess Knights Basketball team, and close friends, Steven Galyean, Ryan Gonzalez, Nathaniel Valdez, and Matthew Johnson.
Memorials may be given to Sand Springs Baptist Church, PO Box 467, Mineola, 75773 or any City National Bank.
